Contrary to the trend that had become apparent at the end of last year, tinplate prices did not increase as of January 1, 2023. As reported by manufacturers of tinplate packaging and closures to EUWID at the beginning of March, the quotations for the upstream material were maintained in most cases. In some cases, there were even slight price decreases of up to 4%.
