Already at the beginning of August – and thus unusually early in the year – the topic of prices is very present in the German market for tinplate packaging. Whereas price negotiations between producers of tinplate packaging and closures and their suppliers often start late in the year, this time the talks could well be concluded earlier. Some market participants would like to see the contracts for 2024 available by November if possible.
